One of the greatest miracles of the Scriptures is that it’s doctrines, or teachings, transcend time and culture. The world is very different than it was 2000 years ago. Although our methods of evangelism change, the gospel of Jesus Christ has remained the same. There is no need for doctrinal evolution when we know that the Apostles of our Lord “had perfect understanding of all things from the very first... (Luke 1:3).”
Therefore Water And Spirit Ministry will teach the 1st Century gospel to our 21st Century world until the end of the age.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God,[-1] solitary in being,[-2] Maker of heaven and earth and all things therein[-3] by His eternal word;[-4] that is to say, by the breath of His mouth.[-5] Thereby, and because of creation, reasonably termed the Father.[-6]
Who, because of us sinners and for our salvation,[-7] became manifested in flesh,[-8] conceived by the Holy Spirit,[-9] born of the Virgin Mary.[-10] This incarnation[-11] not lessening His deity[-12] nor altering His humanity,[-13] fully God[-14] and fully man,[-15] consubstantiated.[-16] Therefore the angel named Him Jesus,[-17] Jehovah-Savior.[-18] As to His deity, He is the same essence, nature and being with the Father.[-19] As to His humanity, he is a like essence, nature and being as us men.[-20] Thereby, and because of redemption, reasonably termed the Son of God.[-21]
Who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried,[-22] and descended into Hades.[-23] Who in His deity raised Himself from the dead on the third day;[-24] ascending to the right hand of the Majesty on High;[-25] from which he shed forth His Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.[-26] Thereby, and because of emanation, reasonably termed the Holy Spirit.[-27]
We believe in the one true saving gospel:[-28] the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.[-29] Which saving grace is individually appropriated, respectively,[-30] through repentance;[-31] water baptism- by immersion,[-32] with the invocation of Jesus’ name:[-33] thereby washed in His blood;[-34] and the infilling of His Spirit as in the beginning.[-35]
We believe in the holy,[-36] universal,[-37] and apostolic Church;[-38] the communion of the saints;[-39] the forgiveness of sins;[-40] the sacraments[-41] of Jesus’ name water baptism,[-42] the Lord’s Supper,[-43] and the laying on of hands.[-44] I believe in the resurrection of the body;[-45] the catching away of the Church;[-46] the physical return of Jesus Christ;[-47] eternal judgement[-48] and life everlasting.[-49] Amen.
